Usually I would focus on the New Jersey Nets, but being that the NBA season is only 2 months away (1 and change if you count preseason). I’ve decided to break down each team in the NBA by division on what I Think will be the out come of this 2009 – 2010 season, starting with probably the most forgotten Division if it wasn’t for the Boston Celtics, the Atlantic Division.
“The Atlantic Division is a division in the Eastern Conference of the NBA. The 76ers, Knicks, Nets, and the Celtics were already in the seven team Atlantic before the merge that brought the Raptors and sent the Heat, Magic and Wizards to the new Southeast Division. The current divisions have been active since the start of the 04-05 season. The defending champions are the Boston Celtics..”
Boston Celtics (55-27). With an addition of Rasheed Wallace to the likes of a healthy Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce; I think this team will cause damage to opponents, going for Atlantic Division champions.
New York Knicks (27-55). New York, New York big city of dreams eh? Well dream big, this team makes change after change to no use (losing Nate Robinson and David Lee thus far). This team will have success.. if they can snag a valuable free agent who wears number 23 (maybe number 3 or 4 aswell). I see this team coming in last in the Atlantic Division.
New Jersey Nets (36-46). As you can see, I have faith in this team. But to be realistic, I think this group of young guys will make a little, I repeat a little more noise than what people think they will. with the addition of Lee, Alston, Battie, and Williams (also Najera technically), I think they will do better than what people believe.
Toronto Raptors (41-41). With the acquisition of Jarrett Jack, Antoine Wright, and the overpaid, Hedo Turkoglu, I think this team will improve (that’s counting if Calderon, Bosh, and Bargnani are all healthy). Let’s see how Bosh plays, knowing that it may be his final year to get out of the first round of the playoffs (with Toronto). I have this team going 41 even.
Philadelphia 76ers (42-40) [Sorry Guys]. I have Andre Iguodala having an outstanding season for Phila, who with a healthy Elton Brand, will be very surprising this year and will make a deep playoff run this year (if they can snag a some what talented point guard), it may be Eltons last chance..
